Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–5 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Red Lion is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Red Lion is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

A little over a month ago I took my sons 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer in for diagnostic because the transmission light came on. The gentleman at the shop ran the diagnostics and explained that the transmission went. I asked him about pricing etc and he said he would look around and make some calls and get back to me by the end of business the next day. I did not hear back and called the shop. A different man answered and I explained what happened and he said oh I know exactly what your referring to because the slip was right here next to him with NA written on it and I assume that meant not available and I said ok and hung up. I called our old mechanic from Delco who referred a shop out that way in Eddystone ( Transman) Tony. I gave him the lowdown on the vehicle and within a day he had arranged towing and arranged for a used transmission to be delivered from NJ and gave me a price of 3900 which included the trans the shipping and labor as well as fluid and tax ( Did not include the tow). He had my car for less than a week before we picked it up and drove it back here. I gave 2 stars because they did run diagnostics and were very nice but I feel they lost money if they would've tried or

Mike is amazing!! I’ve been taking my cars to Cape Horn Transmission since 2005, when they opened. First mechanic I actually trust. From basic services to replacing a motor.

Went in with a 2013 Ford Fusion shifting very hard out of park. It would pull out in a high gear that felt like trans slipping, and no sport mode. We were expecting a huge problem with a huge price tag. Dropped it off and within an hour or two Joe called back and had found the problem- a broken wire on a sensor. He replaced it and we picked our car up the next day and gladly paid them a very reasonable bill. I appreciate that he found a simple issue ( simple for them) so quickly and fixed it keeping the costs down. Thanks!

Excellent experience. When the wife's transmission on her Acadia Denali went up, we quoted several other shops and were stunned at the prices we received. We sourced a low mileage unit from Chuck's Auto with a 6-month part warranty and Mike was great and got us up and running at a fair price.

Best mechanic in york County area. Found every problem on my truck on days time. I took to another shop for 10 months straight saying they fixed it and drive 12 miles boom down again. Great prices. Straight forward, honest and best mechanics in york County hands down! Recommend anyone has problems go here it's worth it. Wont give you run around like most other places.
